Press copy: Stenzel, Kivits & Menders
Stenzel, a tenor, Kivits, a virtuoso pianist, and Menders, also a tenor, bring you musical cabaret, the like of which you’ve never experienced before. Concerto Tricolore is a wonderful blend of humour and classical music. Surprisingly original and always recognisable.
The first impression you get of the trio on stage is that they are not going to make you laugh. These men are only here to earn some cash. But once the concert is under way, phenomenal acts of awkwardness and masterly mistakes bring out the best in these three mates and many a classical theme is given an unexpected humorous make-over without the music suffering. By applying a large dose of creativity and armed with a keen sense of humour, they make digressions from classical music to folk and jazz, often in cabaret style.
A comedy act full of physical and musical stunt work, suitable for a wide audience.
The members of Stenzel, Kivits & Menders are Tiny van den Eijnden, Wilbert Kivits and Joost Manders. The three gentlemen have a proven track record in music and humour, a genre which has produced acts such as Mini & Maxi, Hans Liberg and De Nieuwe Snaar.
